Remembering how often your vehicle is due for a maintenance item can be tricky. Most vehicle owners are very well accustomed to regular oil changes, however some other important maintenance items may not be as clear. Here is a guide that will help you keep better track of when certain important services are due:
Brake Pads, Rotors, and Fluid - Have the brake pads and rotors inspection every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. Fluid needs to be replaced every 2 years.
Engine Oil and Filter - Needs to be changed every 3,000 to 5,000 miles.
Steering and Suspension - Inspect every 3,000 to 5,000 miles.
Battery - Have it tested every 3 to 5 years.
Cooling System - Inspect every 6,000 to 10,000 miles.
Headlights, Taillights, Blinkers - Inspect every 6,000 to 10,000 miles.
Transmission Fluid - Change every 25,000 miles.
